 Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA)
The Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) is the core component of a PEM fuel cell. ElectroChem's line of MEAs are based on years of experience as well as our own proprietary manufacturing processes and quality control. We have developed a highly reliable product that is unmatched by others, which gives our customers the reliability they have come to expect.

Our standard MEA uses hydrophobic carbon paper as a backing layer
with 1mg/cm2 20% Pt.catalyst loading — hot pressed into a Nafion™ membrane. |

Our customers frequently contact us for CUSTOMIZATION regarding their needs for different GDL, various catalyst loadings or different membranes (Nafion™ or another material.) We even have customers who supply us with their stock of materials so we may create what they are looking for. |
